Hogan's Farms Hatchery
The Hatchery began in late October 2014. Some breeds of chicken are not very good egg producers. We began the hatchery to replace the non-layers with hens that would. Due to the growing popularity of backyard farms and the idea people have of collecting their own fresh eggs, we received a positive response and sold nearly half of our hatched flock. We still have 30 of the 65 we hatched and plan to grow the flock. We even hatched one duck giving us two males for the three females we have.
